On this page
The Tasks view contains Glueprint’s built-in tasks and every visible external task provider. Built-in tasks keep their board views. External issues use provider detail sheets, while the GitHub plugin also has its own dedicated view.
Choose a source
The source bar shows one chip for each visible provider. After selecting an external provider, choose:
- The host that owns the credential.
- The connected provider instance when more than one is available.
- A container — a repository, project, or team, depending on the provider.
Right-click a provider chip to Set as default or Hide it. You can restore a hidden provider with Show in Settings > Plugins. Setting a hidden provider as the default also makes it visible. These changes show an Undo action.
You can also right-click a preset and select Set as default for that provider.
Filter the external list
External providers offer these presets:
| Preset | Meaning |
|---|---|
Open | Work the provider does not consider complete or canceled |
Assigned to me | Tasks assigned to the connected provider identity |
Created by me | Tasks created or reported by that identity |
Recently updated | Results ordered by latest update, without an added time window |
All | No preset-specific restriction |
Use Filters to choose a common status category, a provider-native status, or labels. Use Search tasks for text search. Changing the provider, host, instance, container, preset, search, or filters starts from the first provider page.
Each page can contain up to 50 tasks. Load more appends the provider’s next page. Continuation values belong to the provider and current query; Glueprint does not reuse them after the source or filters change. If the provider limits the result set, you see Results are limited by the provider. Refine your filters.
The list shows the task ID, title, assignees, native status, and update time. Open the row menu for Open in provider, Copy key, Copy URL, Assign to me, or Add comment when the provider supports the action.
Keyboard navigation
The shortcuts below work while focus is in the external task-list region. They do not take over while you are typing in a field or while a dialog or menu is open.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
j or Down Arrow | Focus the next task |
k or Up Arrow | Focus the previous task |
Enter or Space | Open the focused task |
Escape | Clear the focused task |
Shift+F10 | Open the focused task’s action menu |
On the provider chips, use Left Arrow and Right Arrow to move, Home and End to jump to an end, Enter or Space to select, and Shift+F10 to open the chip menu.
Task details and comments
Open a row to see its title and description, comments, status, assignees, priority, labels, container, created and updated times, and owning host. From the detail sheet you can:
- Select one of the provider’s available status transitions.
- Assign the task to your connected provider identity.
- Add a comment. Press
Ctrl+EnterorCmd+Enterto post from the comment box. - Load more comments, up to 50 at a time.
- Open the task on the provider.
- Start a linked session, or open the session already linked to the task.
If a comment or another supported write fails, the sheet keeps the error and offers a retry for that write.
Availability messages
Glueprint checks the host, plan, encryption, connection, and provider in that order. The common messages are:
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
Checking task source... | Glueprint is still resolving the host or plan. |
Choose a host to view tasks. | No owning host is selected. |
HOST is offline. | The selected host is not connected. |
Update Glueprint on HOST to use task providers. | The selected host does not support task providers. |
This feature requires a Pro plan or higher. | Cross-host task-provider access is plan-gated. |
Unlock organization encryption and re-check. | The host request cannot proceed until organization encryption is unlocked. |
Reconnect to HOST and re-check. | The client-to-host connection is unavailable. |
Status unavailable | The provider is rate limited or returned another provider error. |
An unconfigured source instead says Connect this provider on HOST to view tasks. See Troubleshoot task providers for fixes.
Refresh and recovery
Click Refresh to make a fresh read for the current source and filters. Click Retry on a failed first page or continuation page. Re-check in Settings refreshes the selected host’s provider and authentication report.
If tasks were already loaded when a host or connection became unavailable, Glueprint keeps them visible under Showing last-known tasks. Changes stay disabled until the source is usable. When availability returns, the view performs one recovery read; use Refresh if the retained list still needs updating.
Web portal links
The portal keeps the selected external source in the Tasks URL:
/tasks?provider=github&host=HOST_ID&container=OWNER%2FREPOSITORY
The supported keys are provider, host, and container. The portal accepts released providers, verifies that the host is visible to you, and resolves the container to exactly one connected instance. An invalid host is removed from the URL together with its container. A missing or ambiguous container is not selected.
