Editor & IDE

Open the code.Right beside the agent.

Every workspace has a full editor built in: Monaco, the engine behind VS Code, with your language servers, a Changes view you can edit, rich Markdown and previews. Read what the agent wrote and fix a line yourself, without switching apps.

A real editor.In every workspace.

Open IDE from a workspace's Files tab, or open any file. This one has the project README in Rich edit beside the search code an agent just changed, split side by side.

The IDE sheet for feat/log-search: the README in Rich edit on the left, search.ts on the right with a breakpoint, warnings and changed lines, and the file tree with search.ts marked modified.
  1. 01FilesThe worktree's files, with changed ones marked, a filter, and Find in files.
  2. 02Tabs and splitsFiles open as tabs. Split the sheet right or down and drag tabs between groups.
  3. 03View modesSwitch a file between its source, Rich edit or Preview, and Changes.
  4. 04Rich MarkdownA formatting toolbar for Markdown that saves back only what you changed.
  5. 05Language serverSquiggles, hovers and quick fixes from the language server on the host.
  6. 06BreakpointsClick the gutter or press F9, then F5 to start a launch.json configuration.
  7. 07Changed linesLines changed since the last commit, marked beside the code and in the minimap.
  8. 08Status barProblems, cursor position, encoding, line endings and language.
  9. 09Host, project and branchThe header names the machine, project and branch the open files belong to.
IDE-200Language serversLSP
search.ts in the desktop editor: warnings under the untyped events and query parameters, a hover card with the TypeScript warning, its type and Quick Fix, and the Problems list below.

Problems as you type. From real language servers.

Glueprint starts the language servers already installed on the host and wires them into the editor: diagnostics as you type, hovers, completion, go to definition, references, rename and code actions, for Rust, TypeScript and JavaScript, Python, Go, PHP, C# and Java.

  • Every open file's problems in one list. Select one to jump to it.
  • Rename a symbol across the project with F2, and format on save.
  • With a JDK installed, Glueprint downloads the Java language server for you.
  • No bundled servers: it uses the ones on your PATH, so versions match your build.
IDE-300Changes viewDiffs
The Changes view of search.ts side by side: the committed version that returns every event on the left, and the new search filter highlighted on the right.

Edit inside the diff. Not after it.

Switch any file to Changes to see what moved since the last commit: the committed version on the left, your live, editable file on the right. Fix what the agent got wrong right there, and the diff follows as you type.

  • Side by side or inline, with whitespace shown when you need it.
  • Jump between changes with F7 and Shift+F7.
  • Changed files in the Git panel open straight into this view.
IDE-400Rich MarkdownDocuments
The Signaldesk README in Rich edit: a formatting toolbar above the rendered headings, paragraphs and command list.

Write the guidance.Keep your formatting.

READMEs, specs and agent instructions are Markdown. Edit them in Rich edit with a formatting toolbar, then save: Glueprint writes back only what you changed, so the rest of the file keeps the style it had.

  • Source, Rich edit and Changes are one click apart, or cycle them with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+V.
  • Front matter stays exactly as it was.
  • If a file uses Markdown that Rich edit can't save exactly, such as footnotes or raw HTML, it says so and you edit the source.

See the file. Not just its source.

Diagrams, data and images open as what they are, with the source one click away. Find in files covers the rest of the worktree.

A Mermaid flowchart preview: log collector to event store to searchLogs, which leads to the results list or the empty state.

01Mermaid diagrams

Flowcharts and sequence diagrams render the way your docs show them, with zoom and fit.

Rendered previews
A CSV preview of seven log events with time, service, level and message columns.

02CSV and TSV tables

Fixtures and exports read as a table, with the header row and delimiter detected for you.

Rendered previews
An SVG preview of the Signaldesk mark, 120 by 120, with zoom, Fit and 1:1 controls.

03SVG and images

Icons and images render on a checkerboard with their size, zoom and a 1:1 view.

Find in files for toLowerCase: four matches in two files, search.ts and log-search.test.ts, beside the open editor.

04Find in files

Search the whole worktree with case, whole-word and regex options, include and exclude globs, and replace.

IDE-600The rest of the editorDesktop and web

The rest of the editor.Where you already are.

The editor works on files where they live, on this machine or a host you're connected to. Remote access and the number of connected hosts depend on your plan.

  • Debugging

Breakpoints in the gutter and F5 to start a launch.json configuration, for Node.js, Python, Go, .NET and Java.

  • Every file type

Previews for images, PDFs, sandboxed HTML, video, audio and fonts, next to your code.

  • Large files

Files up to 10 MB open fully editable. Larger ones open read-only and say exactly what loaded.

  • Other hosts and the web

Open and save files on any host you're connected to, and use the same IDE from the web portal.

  • Keys you know

Save, find, F7, F9 and F10 work as they do in VS Code, and every shortcut can be rebound.

  • Your editor, too

Send any file or folder to the editor you use every day, and run the formatter on save.
