Glueprint is built to be driven from the keyboard. You can switch workspaces, tabs and panes, open every panel and dialog, talk to the agent, and ship a pull request without touching the mouse.

The three shortcuts to learn first

  • Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux) opens the command palette. Every action on this page is in it, with its shortcut beside it, including the ones that ship without a key.
  • Cmd+/ (Ctrl+/) opens the shortcut sheet: a searchable list of every binding, including any you changed. ? opens it too when you are not typing.
  • Cmd+1 to Cmd+9 switch workspaces in the order the sidebar shows them: pinned worktrees first, then each expanded project, host by host. Collapsed projects and hosts are skipped. Hold Cmd for a moment and the sidebar shows each row’s number.

Want it on paper? Download the printable cheat sheet (PDF): one page each for macOS, Windows and Linux, and the web portal.

How shortcuts decide where they apply

Most navigation shortcuts work wherever your cursor is, including the chat input, which is where it usually is. A few rules keep them out of the way:

  • Text fields keep their keys. Shortcuts that are marked “Outside text fields” do nothing while you are typing, so Cmd+[ still outdents code in the editor.
  • Terminals keep shell keys. On Windows and Linux, Ctrl+W, Ctrl+T, Ctrl+R and other control keys go to the shell when a terminal has focus. On macOS, Cmd shortcuts still work from a terminal. Cmd+K in a terminal clears it rather than opening the palette.
  • The editor keeps its own keys. Inside a code editor, editor commands such as Cmd+D (add the next match to the selection) and Cmd+F (find in file) win over the Glueprint command on the same key. The one exception is the portal’s Debug keys: F8 and Shift+F8 start, continue and stop debugging even inside an editor, so use Alt+F8 there to move between the problems in a file.
  • Dialogs come first. While a dialog or sheet is open, background shortcuts are paused. The key that opened a dialog closes it.
  • Detached windows (a workspace or project popped out into its own window) run the tab, pane, panel, composer, chat and git shortcuts for their own workspace. View switching, settings and the sidebar belong to the main window.

Reference

The Web portal column lists the portal’s keys. Browsers reserve many Cmd/Ctrl shortcuts (new tab, close tab, address bar, reload), so the portal uses Alt in their place. Alt is Option on a Mac. On a Mac, an Option shortcut typed inside a text field stays as typing, because Option types accented letters and symbols there, so use it after moving focus out of the field, or use the command palette. “Palette only” means the command has no default key there; “Desktop only” means the portal has no equivalent surface. The Debug keys move in the portal because a browser reloads on F5 and goes full screen on F11; Debugger lists both sets.

Changing a shortcut

Open Settings > Keyboard (or press Cmd+Option+/, Ctrl+Alt+/ on Windows and Linux) and choose Edit bindings.

  • Rebind: click a binding and press the new keys. If another command already uses them, Glueprint names it and keeps your old binding until you resolve the conflict.
  • Remove: click Remove to leave a command without a key. It stays in the command palette.
  • Reset: click Reset on one row, or Reset all, to return to the defaults.

A key you assign yourself wins over a default on the same keys. The portal keeps its own bindings in the browser, and refuses keys the browser reserves.
