Every section of Glueprint has a short guided tour. A tour dims the app, highlights one control at a time, and explains what it is for in a sentence or two. Most tours take a minute or two.

The tours

TourWhat it covers
Getting aroundThe sections, the sidebar, hosts, and where help lives.
WorkspacesProjects and worktrees, opening sessions, terminals and browsers as tabs, splitting a pane, and where the workspace panel lives.
Workspace panelThe panel on the right: the branch and its pull request, Files, Changes, Tasks and Checks, Current / Committed / History, committing, Git actions, the Run dock and its Debug tab. The Workspaces tour ends with a button that continues straight into it.
SessionsThe composer: the agent and model, permission modes, adding context, and approvals.
ChannelsChannels and direct messages, finding a channel, and waking an assistant with a mention.
TasksBoards, My work, search, list and board views, and adding a task.
RoutinesAgents that run on a schedule, the agenda and library, and creating a routine.
AssistantsThe roster, creating an assistant, organization governance, and what is inside an assistant.
GitHubPull requests, issues and Actions in the GitHub hub.
SettingsWhere agents, hosts, keyboard shortcuts and appearance live.

Channels, Tasks and Assistants need a Glueprint account. On a desktop that is not connected yet, those tours are listed but cannot start.

Taking a tour

  • When you first open a section, a small card in the corner asks whether you want a quick tour. Choose Start tour, Not now, or Don’t offer tours. Each tour is offered once; ignoring the card counts as an answer. At most one card appears per launch, and none appears while the setup guide is on screen.
  • Help > Tour (section name) starts the tour for the section you are in.
  • Help > Guided tours lists every tour, shows which ones you have finished, and starts any of them. Starting a tour for another section takes you there first.
  • Command palette: run Tour This Section or Show Guided Tours.
  • Settings > Appearance > Guided tours opens the same list.

Moving through a tour

  • Next and Back, or the Right and Left arrow keys, move between steps.
  • Skip tour ends the tour and marks it done.
  • Esc closes the tour without marking it done, so it stays on your list.
  • The last step links to the matching page in these docs.

If a step points at something that is not on screen right now (an empty list, a closed menu), the tour skips it or explains it in a centered card instead. A tour that needs the sidebar expands it for the tour, and the Workspace panel tour opens the panel on its Changes view; both go back to how you left them afterwards.

Opening another section or another dialog ends the tour. You can pick it up again from Help at any time.

Progress and resets

Tour progress is kept on the device: in the desktop app, or in the browser for the portal. In Help > Guided tours you can turn the first-visit cards off or on, and Reset progress makes every tour count as new again.
