Billing
Invoices, payment methods, the customer portal, and how charges work.
- Web Portal
Billing lives in the web portal under Settings > Billing. Glueprint uses Stripe under the hood; payment details and invoices are managed in the Stripe customer portal that we link to from the same page.
What’s billed
Your subscription can include these line items:
- Base plan — the monthly Pro, Team, or Enterprise fee.
- Extra hosts — one charge per host above the included count, at your plan’s per-host rate.
- Extra seats — one charge per seat above the included count, at your plan’s per-seat rate.
- Project tag add-ons — where you’ve added extra tag capacity for the account.
Free plans aren’t charged.
How proration works
When you change plans or change the number of hosts or seats mid-cycle:
- Upgrades prorate — you pay the difference for the time remaining in the cycle.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the cycle. You don’t get a refund for the unused portion of the prior plan.
Payment methods
Open Settings > Billing, click Manage payment method. The Stripe customer portal opens in a new tab. From there:
- Update your card.
- Set up a different default payment method.
- Add a bank transfer (where available).
We never see your card number. Stripe handles all card data directly.
Invoices
Open Settings > Billing, scroll to Invoices. Every charge has a downloadable PDF. Invoices are also emailed to the billing contact on the account.
If you need a different billing email or to add an accounting CC, set them in the Stripe customer portal.
Tax
Sales tax and VAT are added where required. We use Stripe’s automatic tax engine; the calculated tax shows on the checkout page before you confirm.
If your organization is tax-exempt or needs a different tax setup, contact support.
Cancellation
Cancel from Settings > Billing > Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current cycle. Until then, the account behaves normally.
After cancellation:
- Your data isn’t deleted.
- Existing hosts and assistants keep working.
- Cloud relay disconnects at the cycle boundary, so the portal and mobile go offline for your account.
- You can resubscribe any time; the existing state is still there.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries automatically over a few days. We email the billing contact each time. After several failures, the subscription is paused and the account drops to Free until you fix the payment.
Refunds
Refunds are case-by-case. Contact support if you need one.
